On the area of the former Olimpia swimming pool Ericpol company will erect an office block, which will provide employment for 800 people.

On the 6th June 2013 at Sienkiewicza street 175 in Łódź there was a ceremonial opening of construction works together with a symbolic breaking ground with a shovel. The event took place one and a half year after receiving a permit for operating in Special Economic Zone and purchasing a plot, located on the area of the former Olimpia swimming pool. The biggest ICT company in Łódź, Ericpol, is going to erect in this place an office block for 800 employees.

The property is situated in Lodz Special Economic Zone, at the intersection of Sienkiewicza and Tymienieckiego streets. The project envisages a construction of a four-storey building with underground garage and creation of a historical garden in the adjacent area. Horizone Studio is responsible for architectural design. The value of the investment is estimated to be over PLN 55 million, and construction works will be completed within 18 months. The building is to be commissioned in the first quarter of 2015.

Ericpol has been a leader in ICT services export in Poland for years. By dint of workers’ potential, whose number only in Łódź is already 600, and will soon amount to 700, we co-create software, due to which 2 milliard people daily talks via telephone. So we can say that having foundations in Łódź, we open windows to a wider world – says Paweł Szczerkowski, the General Manager of Ericpol.

The beginning of construction was accompanied by a conference of Association of Business Service Leader in Poland (ABSL). Its main subject was innovativeness as a stimulator of development of modern business service in Poland. The following Ericpol’s representatives took part in discussion panels: Maciej Mroczek, the Head of Radio Section, and Marek Gajowniczek, the Head for Programmes.
