A preliminary audit of design documentation made by Hill International company resulted in listing Małachowskiego Square to the register of BREEAM ecological certification with the predicted evaluation being „Very Good”.
I am really glad that a team responsible in HOCHTIEF Development Poland for the project of Małachowskiego Square has successfully combined the highest standard with modern solutions for retail area in historic buildings with demanding criteria of BREEAM ecological certification. Our aim is to design and run investments in accordance with the rules of sustainable construction, which means not only creating a friendly work environment, but mainly reducing a negative influence on natural environment and – which is not less important – reducing exploitation costs, to occupants' advantage – says Piotr Stark, the Managing Director of HOCHTIEF Development Poland.
The investment includes Count Raczyński's tenement house and a new office wing located at Małachowskiego Square, opposite Zachęta Gallery in Warsaw. The building is under conservation, due to its historical and architectural values.
The complex is to offer 5 000 m2 in the exisiting office building and 7 600 m2 in the new office part, which will be constructed on the parcel on Traugutta Street's side. Additionally, 1 500 m2 of retail area will be created as a part of the investment. Tenants and guests will be able to use 100 underground parking places.
Currently, the building is being modernised and refurbished. The project plans the use of the latest solutions, such as raised floor system, suspended ceilings, central BMS system and HVAC system.
The completion of works is scheduled on the third quarter of 2014. HOCHTIEF Development is responsible for execution of the investment, whereas Kulczyk Silverstein Properties is the investor.
