Sobieski Hotel and the office building sold

A Norwegian company Wenaasgruppen is a new owner of the well-known Warsaw Hotel and the nearby office building.

Sobieski is a hotel of a high four-star standard. The number of people who decides to use of the services of this hotel amounts to about 100 thousand. Since 2006, Jan III Sobieski hotel as well as the adjacent office building belonged to Warimpex, Fundusz Europa Fund II managed by Europa Capital as well as George Mula, who agreed to sell all of their shares in the two objects. The new owner is Wenaasgruppen, a Norwegian investment company engaged in the hotel real property management. One of the biggest Scandinavian companies owning hotels has bought shares for more than 50 M. Euro.

Frank Jurkowitch, president of Warimpex Company, explains that the sale of the hotel was a part of the strategy of the company. As he indicates, it is the first major transaction on the hotel market in the East-Central Europe after the global financial crisis. It is a sign of market revival in this region.
