The ceremony officially initiating construction of Polwiejska 2 – an office and retail project in the centre of Poznan, was held on November 29, 2013. The event was attended by representatives of the investor – Deptak Projekt P2 Sp. Z o.o. as well as representatives of the City Hall of Poznan – Andrzej Nowicki, Deputy Director of the Urban Planning and Architecture Department, as well as Katja Lozina, the Acting Director of the Deputy Director of the Investor Services. There were also representatives of ERBUD S.A., GN Group, Budlex S.A. as well as the author of the project – RKW Rhode Kellerman Wawrowsky. There also appeared representatives of the general contractor – Eiffage Polska Budownictwo S.A.; mBank Hipoteczny S.A. which finance the construction as well as representatives of the media, neighbours and residents of Poznan.
During the ceremony Beata Kijowska, the Board Member of Deptak Projekt P2, presented the building; Karl-Heinz Gosch, Board member of Deptak Projekt P2, briefly introduced the investment’s history; Andrzej Nowicki, the Deputy Director of WuiA; Malgorzata Mellem, the Vice President of the Board of Budlex S.A. as well as Wojciech Grabinowski from the RKW company.
After the speeches there was signing of the foundation act, which was signed by Karl-Heinz Gosch, Beata Kijowska, Andrzej Nowicki and Wojciech Grabowski. The act was inserted into the tube which was subsequently blessed by the prelate Czeslaw Grzelak, the priest of the parish of St. Marcin, Poznan.
The Polwiejska 2 project is being constructed in the Poznan's city centre's shopping district, at Polwiejska and Krysiewicza’s intersection. It is going to offer the gross surface of 9294 sq. m. including 2731 sq. m. on the third and fourth storey which are going to be intended for offices and 6563 sq. m. on -1, 0 and +1 storeys are going to be intended for retail and service surfaces. The parking is going to be located at the +2 and +3 storeys.
