The wealthiest man on earth, a Mexican – Carlos Slim, bought office surfaces.

The wealthiest man in the world, a Mexican – Carlos Slim, bought a house in Manhattan. He paid down 15.5 m $ for the real property. The building is located at 10 West 56th Street, New York, which had belong to a famous actress Elizabeth Taylor and her third husband Michael Todd.

The building will be used for commercial purposes, there will be office spaces in mind. Slim will locate there the headquarter of his conglomerate – Grupo Carso.

Slim’s companies are make up for one-third of the entire Mexican stock exchange and produce from 5 to 8 per cent of the national GDP. The telecommunication industry is the most profitable one for him, aside of this, he owns over 200 companies, including large insurance companies, a retail sale network, mining, railway and tobacco companies, a bank as well as many other enterprises - some of which build oil rigs, and other sell CDs.

The estimated value of Slim’s fortune amounts to 74 bn $, this makes him the richest man in the world, ranked slightly lower than him are Gates and Buffett.
