Investment worth of 240 M Euro

A modern communication centre in Katowice

An investment worth of 240 M Euro is being constructed at the heart of Silesia. The investor, Neinver, in collaboration with PKP SA is going to create a friendly and functional space in the city centre of Katowice. The space is planned to become the pride and the main selling point of the city.

The most important part of the project is modernisation and commercialisation of the railway station in Katowice’s Srodmiescie (the city centre). The modern communication centre is going to include an underground bus station as well as an underground car park for 1200 cars. There is planned, as a part of the project, a commercial building. The edifice of the shopping and office complex is going to be divided into two wings. One of them is going to house Galeria Katowicka, which is going to be situated on five storeys with commercial space of 53 000 sqm. The second one is going to be divided into 7 levels with total space of 24 000 sqm – which will be intended for offices and is going to be located in the western part. The commercial part is going to evoke an image of a pre-war city centre.

Architectural and spatial solutions – three alleys around which the shopping and office complex is going to be organized – will allow for creation of a frontage, which in the past was formed by kamienice (a Polish equivalent of tenement houses). Our investment, which is undergoing the implementation, is going to incorporate not only a communicative, commercial and business functions but also a sociocultural one – comments Barbara Topolska, a managing director Neinver Polska.
