According to the annual report of the Pro Progressio Foundation, the domestic market of outsourcing has been increasing at a rate of 18-20 per cent due to employment and appearance of new entities operating in the industry. The most popular and dynamically developing field of outsourcing is Business Process Outsourcing (BPO). The whole industry recorded a significant increase in both 2015 and the last decade. According to the report, 700 companies from the BPO/SSC sector have been operating on the domestic market at the end of the last year and approx. 170 000 employees have been working in these services.

The organizations from the BPO/SSC sector which decided to locate their operational centers on the area of Cracow as the first ones in 2015 more and more frequently developed their business activities in other cities. The leader is Tricity as well as smaller business locations. As expert in PwC Romek Lubaczewski pointed out during Outsourcing Stars 2015 Gala which was held on 28th January in Warsaw, the BPO industry has recorded such a significant increase not only because of locating new investments, but also thanks to development of already existing shared services centers.

Interestingly, the development of BPO and ITO companies with Ukrainian capital is even more noticeable on the market. Some of these entities have already been operating in the country for a long time, whereas others were active in the area of construction and development of operational centers. Moreover, the interest in Poland also increased among investors from Germany last year.

The outsourcing sector develops each year including newer and newer fields where some operational activities may be managed by external entities. The most popular forms of outsourcing in the country are currently: financial services (accounting, human resources and payroll), Call Contact Center, and HR services (employee leasing and recruitment). However, the archiving of documents is becoming more and more popular, and it was used most eagerly by e.g. public administration, medical centers, financial and banking sector, or HR companies. The significant increase was also recorded in the area of Car Fleet Management. According to data of the Polish Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association, the total amount of company cars gathered in the Association increased in the last decade by even 4 times – from 33 thousand to over 138 thousand cars at the end of the third quarter of 2015. Furthermore, IT Contracting is also developing – according to estimates of recruitment companies, there were approx. 30 000 vacancies in IT last year.
