ECO Mennica Legacy Tower awarded BREEAM certificate at highest level

Mennica Legacy Tower awarded BREEAM Outstanding
Mennica Legacy Tower is the first skyscraper in Poland which was awarded the international BREEAM 2013 New Construction certificate at the Outstanding level.

Mennica Legacy Tower was also appreciated for the work environment which is friendly to users, as well as lighting with natural light, use of sound-absorbent materials, or natural ventilation. The systems of building management "BMS", which are to provide additional reduction of cool and heat consumption, limit electricity and water consumption, or allow efficient waste management, were also highly assessed. Moreover, the application of eco-friendly construction and finishing materials was also taken into consideration during the certification process.

Sweco Consulting Sp. z o.o. was responsible for the certification process of Mennica Legacy Tower. The project of Mennica Legacy Tower met more than 88% of all the requirements of the BREEAM International New Construction 2013 system. The maximum “Outstanding” grade is a rarity in BREEAM. Thereby, it proclaims that the environmental awareness of all people engaged in the design process is really high – says Lucyna Magda, Assessor of BREEAM, Sweco Consulting.

Mennica Legacy Tower is a new investment, which is being erected at the crossroads of Prosta and Żelazna Streets. It will deliver 65 630 sq. m of leasable space to the market in Warsaw in total. The complex will comprise a 140-meter-high tower and a 43-meter-high adjacent structure. The building of Mennica Legacy Tower is being conducted in accordance with the schedule. The envisaged term of commissioning of the lower building is the fourth quarter of 2018, whereas the tower is to be commissioned in the third quarter of 2019.
