The royal couple visits Warsaw Spire

The Dutch William and Duchess Kate in Warsaw Spire
The British royal couple visited Warsaw Spire and The Heart Warsaw within the official tour in Poland.

Yesterday the British royal couple visited Poland within the official tour for the very first time. The Duke William and Duchess Kate were welcomed by the President of Poland Andrzej Duda in the Presidential Palace, then they visited the Warsaw Rising Museum and headed Warsaw Spire. The Duke and Duchess were also the guests of the center for corporate-startup collaboration, that is The Heart Warsaw. On the behalf of Ghelamco, the royal couple was welcomed by Jarosław Zagórski, Commercial & Business Development Director of Ghelamco Poland. In The Heart Warsaw, the Dutch William and Duchess Kate met with young entrepreneurs and scientists. It was the beginning of the initiative “Warsaw-London Bridge”, the goal of which is to support young Polish companies in order to obtain access to global markets. What is more, the results of the accompanying competition to “Warsaw-London Bridge” were announced in the presence of the royal couple. The goal of the competition was to distinguish entrepreneurs who implement innovations in the field of new technologies. The awards were granted to two projects: medical start-up Whisbear as well as the translator of sign language Migam. The winners received the awards from the Dutch William and Duchess Kate.

The Heart Warsaw is a center for collaboration and exchange of technological thought between the European corporations and the environment of Polish entrepreneurs. The international companies which search for innovative solutions gain some comprehensive support within the concept – from organization to collaboration with start-ups through dedicated scouting, and ending with pilot implementation.
