New investment in Kraków

Kraków will gain a new office investment. Soon, Alma Tower will be built in the capital of Małopolskie Voivodship, thanks to the investment of UBM AG. It is already known that Alma Market will be the main tenant of the building.

The property developer UBM AG has signed a preliminary contract with Alma Market S.A. In accordance with its provisions UBM undertakes to build the Alma Tower office building on the Pilotów Street in Kraków. Alma Market will rent about 50% of the buildings office space for the period of 10 years.

The construction of the 10.000 sq. m building is supposed to begin in the third quarter of this year. It will be in progress for 18 months. It is planned that the building will obtain the LEED certification.

Peter Obernhuber, Member of the Management Board of UBM Polska, said: The Alma Tower project will be UBM’s first investment in offices in Kraków. We see a potential in the city’s market, we already have a housing project Villa Galicja in the Prądnik Czerwony district and we know this area.

UBM Polska is responsible for the architectural project and the commercialization of the other half of the building. The tender for a general constructor will be settled in August.
