According to the GUS's predictions, only two Polish cities are worth considering in terms of planning one's education and work. The data comes from the research concerning the demographical growth and predictions for the year 2035 for the biggest Polish metropolises. GUS's data show, that only Cracow and Warsaw have good prospects. Positive natural growth is predicted also for smaller cities located in the surroundings of these two agglomerations. The rest of Polish cities will depopulate.

The main factor taken into account in the prediction procured by GUS has been the evaluation of the pace of the society's aging process. The smaller natural growth translates to smaller income for the local budgets. This in turn will cause the decrease in the number of new investments, average salary and in the number of new workplaces.

Cracow and Warsaw are attractive cities, with a wide offer both for students and people planning their careers. According to GUS, in 2035 Warsaw will have 100 000 more inhabitants, while Cracow will improve its current number with 10 000 more citizens.
