Bank of New York Mellon is a new tenant in Aquarius Business House in Wrocław.

The world's largest deposit bank, the Bank of New York Mellon, leased 6 250 sq m in Wrocław's office building Aquarius Business House, a project by Echo Investment. BNY plans to create there from 700 to 1000 workplaces. Other international companies such as Tieto Poland, PwC and AXIT are already the building's tenats.

“We are very pleased with the fact that such a prestigious financial institution has chosen our project. Negotiations lasted almost eight months and a lot of time was devoted to technical requirements, power supply safety and continuous service. Another essential aspect concerned pre-envorinmental solutions. Our BNY Mellon partners were conviced with energy-saving solutions, a building management system BMS and recently obtained BREEAM Interim Certificate as well as commenced certification process in the LEED standard,” says Rafał Mazurczak, director of the Commercialization and Marketing Team in the Office and Hotel Department at Echo Investment.

Aquarius Business House is located at the intersection of Borowska and Swobodna Streets. The first of two stages of the project was completed in November 2012, whereas completion of the second stage is planned for October 2013. Arcad office from Kielce is responsible for the architectural project.

Julita Spychalska, the Director of Tenant Representation Department at Jones Lang LaSalle says,”because of plans for development of service centre in Wrocław, the Bank of New York Mellon was looking for a new location for its team of specialists. The company has chosen Aquarius Busines House due to its location in the inner city centre and broad possibilities for adaptaion of office spaces. The decision and choice criteria, with which BNY Mellion were guided, prove that we deal with the abiding interest of investors in flexible and spacious office spaces. What is more, when taking into consideration the strong position of Wrocław as the location for foreign investments, especially in the SSC/BPO sector, projects that meet decribed criteria have very great chanes for commercial success.
