Ghelamco sold Senator office building. The purchaser is Union Investment.

Prestigious office building Senator, realised by Ghelamco in Warsaw, was sold for 120 million Euro. The purchaser is Union Investment Real Estate GmbH.

For Union Investment „UniImmo: Europa”, an open real estate fund, it is the first purchase on Polish real estate market. Tenants of Senator include PKN Orlen – the main tenant, Rabobank Group, Discovery, EURONET, BRE Bank and Legg Mason.

The office building is located on Bielańska street in Warsaw. Its construction finished in July 2012. It offers 25,000 m2 of A class space. In the building there is also a three-level parking with 332 parking spaces and a spacious atrium, which is legally protected due to its being partially a historical object.

The investment is very characteristic, it brought back an old frontage of Bielańska street. The figure of the building was designed on a plan of the former Bank Polski location. During the designing and building, the City Conservator of Historic Works was being consulted.

In 2012 Senator was awarded with GreenBuilding certificate, granted by European Commission. In 2013 it was awarded with BREEAM. The project was also recognised on internationial scale when it won an Office Development Category of European Property Awards. It was also highly esteemed by the industry magazines such as Eurobuild and Construction&Investment Journal.
