Starwood Capital Group the owner of three Ghelamco office complexes

Today, Ghelamco partnership financed a sales transaction of three office projects: T-Mobile Office Park, Łopuszańska Business Park and Katowice Business Point. Their owner is Starwood Capital Group fund.

The office space of those three sold complexes totals 77 300 sq. m. Advisers of Ghelamco, engaged in carrying out transactions, were Jones Lang LaSalle and Hogan Lovells companies, and the purchaser was advised by CBRE company. Terms of business were not exposed.


It is undoubtedly one of the most crucial transactions on the office space market in 2014, which confirms that office buildings still attract the investors, especially those, in which ecologic solutions were taken into consideration, confirmed appropriate certifications – said Mike Atwell, senior director of Rynki Kapitałowe na Europę Środkowo-Wschodnią department in CBRE.


Starwood Capital Group is a private investment company functioning in many property sectors all over the world. The main headquarters of the fund is located in Greenwich, in Connecticut state in USA. Since 1991, Starwood Capital Group has accumulated nearly 25 billion dollars of home equity, and at the moment it manages of means which total 36 billion dollars.

Means obtained by the sale will be invested in new office, residential and commercial projects.


Katowice Business Point is a complex located in the centre of the capital city of Upper Silesia, commissioned in 2010. T-Mobile Business Park complex is located at Marynarska 12 Street in Warsaw Mokotów, and Łopuszańska Business Park is located in the business part of the Włochy district. Both investments were finished in May 2013. Moreover, all buildings received certification in the BREEAM system. Companies such as T-Mobile, Citibank, Allianz, Alior Bank, Tauron, PwC, or Żywiec have chosen them as their headquarters.
