Vertical gardens
Try to imagine walking through the woods… You may hear the birds signing while inhaling the fresh and clear air. You are surrounded by green and soft vegetation. Your body and senses are deeply relaxed… And now imagine that the sense of relief and calm stays with you and you can enjoy it every day!

How It Works?

It is often underlined that plants have a positive impact on our state of mind. Proximity of nature is our indigenous need that cannot be ignored. The surrounding greenery gives us positive energy, purifies the air we breathe and brightens our interiors. It also gives us a sense of calm and relaxation when our eyes that are tired of looking at the screens may have a break for a moment and admire green leaves or beautiful flowers.

Plants – Always And Everywhere?

Plants are living organisms, whose survival mainly depends on the access to water and sunlight. Some of them, even the most resistant species, may survive despite the low access to these two nutritional substances. However, in the long term, even the most professional maintenance cannot guarantee a happy and healthy growth. They will languish and go wild over some time. The biggest problem is the lack of daylight. Water can be delivered but we have only one sun. In such situations, living plants are allowed better exposure by special lights with specified color, length and temperature.

Nature Around Us

There is nothing more natural than nature itself invited to our space. Model manufacture, design, fashion and architecture are the fields constantly inspired by simplicity, universality and the need for being close with nature. The latter one, however, took it a step further. Instead of introducing the imitation of nature, architects tend to include the original version of nature in their projects in the form of… green walls!

When Project Is Executed

Vertical gardens, the so called green walls, are a special form of modern design that adds elements of real greenery to places where we would never expect them to be. All projects, no matter of their size, create the “WOW” effect in the eyes of recipients. This exceptional form fits almost every space, completing it impressively.

Some Technical Details

While thinking about a green wall in our interior, it is worth planning it already at the design stage. In order to operate at the basic level, the walls need the access to water and electricity. Water has to power the irrigation system that delivers water to each pocket with a plant. Water is distributed automatically and there is no person needed to water the plants. The access to power, for instance, in the ceiling, allows for installing the lamps that allow for better exposure. It would be impossible to maintain beautiful and luxuriant greenery at any time of the year without them. This is also a perfect moment to design other technical details such as masking frames, water outlets and places for a controller. These elements can be made from very different materials and they are always adjusted to a given interior planned by the architect in respect of both color and used material. And what if this dream about a green wall originates later? This is not a problem anymore. Nowadays, everything is possible. This installation requires a greater deal of cunningness, time and definitely more means, but, the "WOW” effect remains the same.

Paint With Plants

Landscape architects are true artists. When they design the walls, they treat them as paintings. What options do we have? The wall may be plain with only one kind of plant. We obtain the effect of a clear and simple green form. On the other hand, we may use waves of saturated green as a mosaic. Such setting causes an interplay of colors and different forms of greenery. In effect, we obtain an incredible, original and living green masterpiece.

What Types Of Plants?

While choosing between aesthetical and practical aspects, there is a list of plants that adjust themselves to vertical gardens very easily. This concerns Eipremnum and Filodendron Scandens, which are beautiful trailing plants that are easy to cut and form. They provide a lush greenery and they constitute a basis for building any vertical garden. Colors are provided by plants that flower, for instance, Anturium, or those that are distinguished by coloring of leaves, for instance, Maranta or Kalatea. A design effect is caused by very popular and liked Monstera or still undiscovered Fatsja. Filodndrony Imperial or Skrzydłokwiaty add a subtle touch of greenery straight from the wood, offering deeply bright greenery and the effect of purified air.

Green walls are the one and only form of transferring nature to interiors. Thus, they hypothetically invite us to admire them, and, most of all, to watch them for hours. This is an aesthetical design, thanks to which office space is much more natural. Green walls brighten the space, improve tonus and introduce a relaxing accent to any interior. The splendor is provided by the “WOW” effect. It remains in the memory for long and effectively distinguishes a given space.

Let’s Go Back To The Beginning
