The building owned by AVIA received the LEED Core and Shell Gold certificate which is granted by U.S. Green Building Council. Therefore, the office became one of the first structures in Cracow appreciated for the totality of activities from the area of sustainable construction.

The obtainment of the LEED Core and Shell Gold certificate resulted in the fact that AVIA Office Building became a member of a prestigious group of offices in Poland which met the high expectations of this international system of certification of sustainable construction.

As a leader in the area of sustainable construction, Turner & Townsend aims at creation of a better construction environment for future generations. We are proud that we contributed to the success of AVIA in the obtainment of the LEED Gold certificate – comments Iain Leyden, Turner & Townsend Country Managing Director for Poland.

We are glad that thanks to our knowledge and experience, we could help GD&K Group in the obtainment of this certificate on a higher level than initially expected LEED Silver – adds Dominik Włodarczyk, Assesor of LEED in Turner & Townsend.

I am very glad that the portfolio of GD&K Group is enriched by AVIA – a building which meets the most modern project trends. We wanted AVIA to be characterized by the highest standards which will provide our tenants with a friendly work place – says Jakub Wazowicz who represents GD&K Group.

AVIA is a joint project of GD&K Group and CA Immo. The investment is located in Cracow Technology Park. The 7-tier structure offers almost 14 000 sq. m of gross leasable area class A. Its users will be able to benefit from 173 parking places in an underground garage. There will be also a garden in a Japanese style and green atrium located in the building's interior.

In the area of ecological solutions, AVIA offers a very good connection with a municipal means of transport, promotes low-emission vehicles and consumes 46 per cent less water than it is envisaged as a local standard for office buildings. Moreover, the significant percentage of energy which is used by the structure comes from renewable sources and materials which were used to the structure's building were purchased and made locally which had a positive influence on lower emission of CO2 and development of local enterprises. Additionally, almost 100 per cent of workplaces in the AVIA office have a view to the outside and they are equipped with an effective system of ventilation.

Companies which decided to rent areas in AVIA are BPH SA, GE Healthcare and Software Mind.
