Guidewire Software launches Computer Programming Center in Cracow

American company producing software for the insurance sector is going to launch a new headquarters in the capital of Little Poland.

Cracow Regional Computer Programming Center will be the sixth center of such type after California, Dublin, Pennsylvania, Tokyo and Toronto. It will also support the global expansion of the company. Employees hired in the center will be responsible for all aspects related to product development – starting with its management and ending with creation of software and quality control. The concentration of apt and qualified computer programmers in Poland was a crucial factor for us – claims Ali Kheirolomoom, CPO in Guidewire Software. The access to highly qualified staff, combined with a central location in Europe will certainly enhance the effectiveness of solutions delivered by our company – adds Kheirolomoom.


The selection of Little Poland for a new computer programming center is a very positive signal from Guidewire Software. It is evidence of high potential of the region. Cracow and southern Poland are „IT coalfield". 33 universities in the region and almost 190 thousand students are a real magnet for investments from the sector of IT or R+D. Over 16 thousand people found employment in over 160 companies. Therefore, we are really glad that Guidewire Software is another company from the industry of new technologies, the activity of which will bring inflow of advanced knowledge, know-how and capital – says Tomasz Latocha, Deputy Director of Little Poland Regional Development Agency SA. 


Basing on the success of our Computer Programming Center in Dublin, the Cracow investment will allow us to increase employment in Europe and realize full cycle concerning creation of products in order to meet the needs of our clients even more effectively – adds Dan Lonborg, Senior Director who coordinates work of software engineers and authors of content in Guidewire Software.
