Polish Pavilion on EXPO 2015 visited by over 1.6 mln guests

The EXPO 2015 Universal Exhibition in Milano came to a close on 31st October this year. The domestic exhibition was visited by jointly 1 670 312 people within 6 months of its presence.

The EXPO 2015 Universal Exhibition in Milano came to a close on 31st October this year. The domestic exhibition was visited by jointly 1 670 312 people within 6 months of its presence. The participation of Poland in this prestigious exhibition allowed to present the export potential of the country in the agricultural, food and drink sector as well as other economic fields which confirmed the strong position of the native market as an economic partner of the world. The promotion of the Polish agricultural as well as drink and food industry included e.g. culinary demonstrations, debates, promotional meetings or conferences. Moreover, some events aimed at promotion of ICT sector, industrial design or cosmic technologies were organized. The Polish exhibition during EXPO 2015 included e.g. presentations of Eastern Poland, Pomeranian, Łódź, Kuyavian-Pomeranian, Lower Silesia, Mazovian, Świętokrzyskie and Podkarpackie Voivodships. Furthermore, the potential of native regions and attractiveness of cultural heritage and Polish nature were presented.

 

The participation of Poland in the EXPO 2015 Universal Exhibition was complemented by the economic program covering Milano and the whole Italy. It consisted in organization of economic missions, national stalls on industry fairs, scientific conferences or seminaries. The realization of the economic program was aimed at e.g. presentation of Poland as an attractive partner on the international market.
