The building of Technopark Promerania has begun. The most important people from Szczecin took part in embedding the erection act of Technopark Pomerania. Among them there were: Olgierd Geblewicz - The Marshall of Wojewodztwo Zachodniopomorskie, Piotr Krzystek - The President of Szczecin, Grzegorz Fiuk - the Presidend of Park Naukowo - Techniczny in Szczecin, Maciej Kaczynski from Klastra ICT Pomorze Zachodnie and Robert Olejnik from Teonite, wchich already functions in Inkubator building by Niemierzynska St.
Three office buildings which will constitute Technopark Pomerania will probably will have been finished by the end of 2013. The overall space of those buildings will be 11,5 thousand sq. meters. The building of the first two buildings was launched in April this year. Those buildings are considered to be the centre of incubation and innovation which will deliver over 6000 sq. meters of space to rent for start-ups as well as for already developed IT companies. They will be equipped in an undergruond car park (around 120 parking spaces) and a parking for bicycles. The third building is destined to store servers however for this moment there are only the foundations of it made.
Technopark Pomerania is an investment of Szczecin oriented on the technological development of the city. The overall cost of the investment of Regionalny Program Operacyjny Wojewodztwa Zachodniopomorskiego is estimated to be worth around 100 million PLN. The authors of the project are Agnieszka Witkowska and Maciej Zombirt from City Architekci in Szczecin. Portal-PP Sp.z.o.o. is however responsible for the holistic architectural project. A consortium of companies from Szczecin (Tembud-Bis Szut - Lechbud) is responsible for the workmanship. The engineer of the contract in Eko-Inwest from Szczecin.
The investment will allow businessmen to come into cooperation with organisations who would like to invest in innovations. For that purpose innovative companies will join the program which will support their development. As fas as long term policy is concerned, the city authorities expect a growth in number of companies which work on the modern technology market. Park naukowo - technologiczny is also created for international business purposes as well.
