The i2 Development company presented a development plan of a plot purchased in 2014. Bulwar Staromiejski will hold offices, apartments and recreation areas.

i2 Development presented development plans of over 2.5 ha area in the strict city center of Wrocław. A developer will intend 14 buildings – mostly renovated monuments - for residential purposes (19 640 sq. m) and commercial purposes (9179 sq. m of office and service area, including 3369 sq. m situated in two office and service buildings: Nowy Alexanderhaus – 2630 sq. m and B13 – 739 sq. m). Two of planned structures have already received a building permit. The whole complex should be completed within ca. 3 years.

The aim of investor is to preserve a heritage of this area – part of the structures located at Jan Paweł II 8 Square is dated back to XVIth c. – with their adjustment to social requirements and trends of modern architecture. The investor is planning to keep the old-growth forest, exclude the area from the road traffic and prepare recreation areas – health zone and bicycle lanes. Moreover, he would like to add some elements of a small architecture and restore remains of monuments discovered during conducted works, including Bastion Kleszczowy known on a European scale – a historical structure of a military architecture. The building will be surrounded with so called 120-meter-long Wrocław bench creating a perfect place for future cultural events.

While observing global solutions in revitalization of city centers, we came to conclusion that Wrocław – European Capital of Culture 2016 and capital of Lower Silesia deserves a new presentation since it has been gaining more and more importance in the rankings of cities which are friendly to business and attractive to live. The remains of a cultural heritage, including incredible monuments of architecture, provide a wonderful atmosphere and base to create a place where everyone wants to live and spend their free time. Therefore, we decided to build Bulwar Staromiejski – as we named this investment – where offices, apartments, short-term lease flats, lofts, cafe, restaurants and recreation areas will be realized. The additional attraction for future inhabitants and employees will be a health zone and beautiful greenery – says vice-chairman of the board Marcin Misztal, i2 Development SA.

Bulwar Staromiejski is located in the Stare Miasto district at Przedmieście Mikołajskie in the neighborhood of Wrocław market, Musical Academy and Wrocław Edmund Wierciński Modern Theatre. The area is well communicated with Mikołaj Kopernik Airport and Central Station. Moreover, Wrocław City Bicycle Station situated at Jan Paweł II Square allows to benefit from a great number of bicycle lanes along moat and bed of Oder.
