First passive office in Poland

An offer of Budus company with a value of PLN 37 million was chosen in tender.

Building works in Katowice's Science-Technological Park Euro-Centrum will start on 8th August. Workers of Katowice's Industrial Building Company Budus SA will enter on the area of complex. Correspondingly with the results of tender, in which Budus company was chosen, within 18 months they're obliged to build a passive building, which will link business functions with research-development. Investment with a value of over PLN 37 million will become a new office of PNT Euro-Centrum.

Within the execution of investment process, workers will built an office which will become the most important element of park. Additionally, task of the company will be to develop the area surrounding the office. Building of the office will take place within executed project since October 2010 financing from EU means within action 5.3 Innovative Economy Operational Programme.

It is a very important investment for us, it will give us a possibility of gaining credentials concerning building, in which the most important is respect of energy. In future such expectations will be a standard so it's good to gain such an experience - says Leon Ucka, chairperson of BUDUS SA.

In proceeding which ended on 27th July 9 subjects participated, however because of high expectations, final offers were given by 3 contractors. The only one criterion of choice was a price.
