Despite the obvious benefits associated with having an office in an eco-friendly office building, the supply of space in buildings with an intelligent management system constitutes merely a few per cent of the total office space. In Warsaw it is a mere 6 per cent – informs “Rzeczpospolita”.
Solutions that are used in eco-friendly office building not always have to involve considerable costs. A large, even 30 per cent, energy savings can be achieved by, for example, use of energy–saving bulbs – enumerates Marzena Ciurzynska, real property management department director, Colliers International.
Environmentally conscious activity of developers and taking into consideration appropriate solutions can already in the design phase allow to decrease the annual energy consumption by two-thirds. These savings are also possible to achieve in existing buildings.
