The highest building with office areas in Szczecin is Pazim, which was completed in 1992. The structure is 128-meter-high and it offers more than 22 thousand sq. m of usable space. The next-to-last floor has a lookout cafe as well as infrastructure for radio installations and transmitting antennas of telecommunications operators on the last tier and on the roof.
Altus still remains the highest building in Katowice, however, the building of a new complex .KTW has already started in the neighborhood of Spodek. There will be two towers realized within the project, including a 133-meter-high tower. Altus offers 63 thousand sq. m of total area.
The highest building in Krakow is the so called Błękitek, that is the 105-meter-high office K1. This 20-tier structure was founded in the 1970s and it was totally modernized in the years 1996-1998, when it was covered with blue glass and brought from Luxembourg, thanks to which it gained its unofficial name. The office was thoroughly modernized again in 2014.
The highest building in Poznań is the 102-meter-high Andersia Tower, which is situated at Plac Andersa. It is an office with 20 aboveground tiers with total space amounting to 35 thousand sq. m. Andersia Tower offers offices, hotel as well as commercial and service space. The building was commissioned in 2007.
The 80-meter-high Red Tower is the highest building in Łódź. The tower was founded in 1978. This 22-floor office was thoroughly modernized in the years 2006-2008, and it gained new elevation and nocturnal illumination.
SkyRes Warszawska is the highest office in Rzeszów – the building is 55-meter-high. This 14-tier structure was commissioned last year. It offers ca. 20 thousand sq. m of office space class A. At present, preparation works at another office building SkyRes Lubelska are being conducted. The new structure is to offer 17 thousand sq. m of space.
Arkady Business Park is currently being realized in Bydgoszcz. The building will be 45-meter-high. After commissioning, which is planned on the following year, it will be the highest structure in the city which occupies the 8th place in Poland due to the population (more than 355 thousand people).
In spite of the fact that more and more higher buildings are realized in Poland, the unsurpassed example is the global market. Incredibly high buildings are realized mainly in the region of the Middle East. For instance, the Saudi Arabians are currently building a several-meter-high tower Jeddah Tower in the city of Jeddah. After completion in 2020, it is to be the highest building in the world. The tower will be higher by nearly 200 m from the highest skyscraper, that is the 163-floor Burj Khalifa in Dubai (828 m). The highest office building in the world is the New York 1 World Trade Center of the height amounting to 541 m. It was built in place of the destroyed towers WTC.
