Opera Software is going to occupy the whole area intended for offices in the Wrocław Hieronimus complex. The lease contract was signed on 26th May 2015. The Norwegian producer of websites will occupy 4400 sq. m of office area class A in a historical structure and it will move into its new headquarters – in accordance with plans – in the first quarter of 2016.
One of the departments of the Opera Software company – Research & Development has been functioning in the capital of Lower Silesia since 2006. At present, it hires ca. 200 employees, mainly computer programmers. However, the company is planning to increase employment in the nearest future. – Opera Software is conducting highly innovative business activity in Wrocław which required a proper environment. The selection of a final location took over six months and it was a demanding task. Opera Software is an example of a company for which work conditions are the main priority and arrangement of office is definitely far beyond the market standards. The employees will have i.a. developed entertainment and relaxation zones, restaurant and rooms intended for working with children at their disposal – says Kamil Pakosz, Regional Manager of Colliers International in Wrocław.
The Hieronimus complex is composed of two historical tenement houses located at the crossroads of Świdnicka Street and Theathre Square. The employees of Opera Software will move into the structure in 2016.
The total area of the building amounts to 5 955 sq. m. The author of the revitalization project is the Grupa 33_03 architectural studio from Wrocław. The owner of the tenement houses – that is Zbigniew Grycan has also a chain of ice cream parlors.
