Sleep: A New Benefit For Employees

|
Many people are currently struggling with tiredness and occupational burnt-out. In response to that problem, companies are introducing naps as a new element of the work-life balance program. We are talking with Magdalena Filcek, author of "Vinci Power Nap – Sleep Café" about the power of a catnap.

What about people who snore loudly? What if they would like to visit the café too?

There is an additional option of listening to relaxing music with headphones, lying in scarves. Your snoring neighbor won’t disturb you anymore.

There is also an issue of interesting design of "Vinci Power Nap – Sleep Café". The hanging scarves are also eye-catching. Does this space allow for healing our senses? If so, how?

A 20 minute long resting process in "Sleep Café" allows for healing and clearing our mind and senses at the same time: touch (stepping on soft grass, warm sand or airy pillows), sight (twilight, color and thematic space design), hearing (specially composed soundtrack), smell (aromatic compositions that support relaxation), taste (treat including healthy drink, refreshing oxygen) and balance (lulling in air scarf which gives a sense of relaxation and harmony).

What types of rooms are available in "Vinci Power Nap"?

We’re currently implementing the first prototype of "Vinci Power Nap – Sleep Café" and it’s the so called "Woody Room". I’ve also designed other rooms: "Air Room" and "Sunny Room".

Some people have problems with falling asleep. Would it make sense if we visit the café only for taking a nap? Or maybe it’s a place where we can purely and simply relax?

"Vinci Power Nap – Sleep Cafe" is the answer to the problem of sleeping, which consists in, for instance, the lack of relax or sense of safety allowing for falling asleep. "Sleep Café" is designed in such a way to offer the sense of peace, easefulness and acceptance. It’s much easier to relax in such conditions, that is dandling in the scarf and sleeping as peacefully as a child in mother’s arms.
